Happy Week 4- Friends!

This week has been a bit difficult but there are a few things that are around sometimes just to make ME happy... my friends!!
What would I do without them? Where would I be without them??
They all, near and far, provide me with so much love, encouragement and laughter that I couldn't do half of what I do without their support and help!!
I have always been blessed with great friends, even as a child. I believe you get what you put into friendship.
One of my friends call from states away to compare stories of what it's like to raise teenagers and chickens. One sends me e-mails to encourage me and cheer us on as we adventure in our rather different kind of lifestyle. I have one friend that takes the kids to give me a day off, sometimes 2, drops off or picks up the kids when they need a ride and makes sure "fun" in in their lives! I have one that I have daily contact with that keeps me going spiritually and makes me laugh so hard I have to keep my legs crossed. I even have one that comes and helps me clean the house, wash dishes or do laundry! Can you believe that?? One very dear friend lives far away, we seldom talk and next to never see each other but I know I'm on her mind and in her prayers!

Marylin Blake- she keeps me in check!!!
The White Family, our TN family!

Katie and the girls friends for almost 14 years, a special bond no mater the distance between us!

I don't have many photo's of my friends and I together but here's one with two of the greatest in Tennessee!! Tasha & Chrystal
The Colwell's, Angie and I have know each other since I was 13!
Samantha- friend for life! When all else fails call Samantha, she will be going through the very same thing!

And so many more...
You are all so great, you love me despite my flaws, you love my children despite the number of them sometimes. You respect our family choices regardless if they agree with them, you are truly a blessing to me! I love you all!!!

PS, I hope none of you minded I used these pics...

Holiday Projects

So here are some of the things I worked on throughout the holiday season. Some gifts and some orders but almost all free patterns so I had to share!!
I just love love love this Vest Wrap (a free pattern) I made for my sister-in-law. I can not wait to make one for myself, too bad my pic turned out so bad.
I made these sweet baby doll clothes for a sweet little girl and just had to make a matching nightgown for her. Here's the very easy FREE downloadable pattern for the gown.
Of course a hat to match too.

Adjustable Glittens (a $5 pattern well worth the price) I'm on my third pair. I made a "Urban Jungle Slouch hat" to match these mittens but lost the photo, I will try to recover that but it was fun to make and looked great also a free pattern from Ravelry!

These super cute snowmen & women are about 4 inches tall, you can find the pattern here, scroll down to the bottom of the page for the English version.

I made several pair of these boot cuffs. How cute are they!!?? Also a free pattern.
Here's another pair of glittens and a beautiful scarf to match. This "Mindless Scarf" would be even prettier in a plain color because the stitch is so pretty. A free pattern from Craftsy.

I am so proud of these stockings! I have been wanting to make the kids stockings for a few years but never seemed to find the time. Well this year I did it and am thrilled at how they turned out. The kids were excited with them as well and wanted to know if they could take them when they grow up and move out. Now I just need to make 3 more... here's the free pattern for the stockings from Red Heart.

And a Tennessee colors mohawk hat for a brand new TN fan!! I found a simple tutorial here for attaching the "hair".

Thirty-One *Giveaway*

My friend Monica sells Thirty-One and last month I was finally invited to my first party. She has so many beautiful things to chose from but I fell in love with the Large Utility Tote which happens to be on special this month, for every $31 that you spend you can get it for $9!! It's normally $30!!! I also love the Lil' Expressions Tote, that's going on my Christmas list for sure, *hint hint, Mom*!
Another great thing about Thirty-One is that you can have your items personalized for $6, yup you read correctly six bucks!!!

I asked Monica about her business and this is what she had to say...

"I started selling Thirty-one just to make some extra money. I'm a stay at home mommy and I just wanted some "me" time, Thirty-One was the perfect choice to me. My favorite part of selling is because I love to see customers chat about how they will use their thirty-one product. Its nice to hear everyone's ideas. My favorite item is the large utility tote. Its big and it folds flat for storage. You can put anything in it, groceries, sports equipment, pool stuff, laundry, etc. It's uses are endless."

If you have never seen Thirty-One head on over to Monica's web site and check it out, you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!
She is offering you, my lovely readers, a chance to win a Mini Zipper Pouch. For your chance to win check out the catalog and leave a comment here of what you would love to have. For extra chances to win "share" this post on FaceBook, and leave a comment there.
We will draw a winner on Saturday, June 25th.

Happy Birthday WV!

Yesterday we celebrated West Virginia's 148th Birthday.
The kids had a blast checking out all the booths set up from local business and the free goodies they offered.

I had a booth set up and sold lots of my scrubbies.
The half cotton half scrubby ones were popular.
My friend Marilyn from L&M Farms was there too, she and Freddy had fun dancing to the live music. Sorry, I forgot to get a pic of that!!
But you can find her at the Clarksburg Farmers Market, she always had beautiful fresh produce and eggs from the prettiest chickens around, tell her Cody sent ya!!

I took my friend Marie with me too and everyone loved her cute little kitty toys!!

**Oh, and Max was interviewed for the paper. It was printed on the front page of the Exponent Telegram. The writer misspelled our last name (Cosber) but he was quoted as saying "I am here to see all the beautiful stuff and to celebrate WV's birthday" -so cute!!
